Living today calls for more effort and strain and hard work from us then ever before, people try to keep themselves going by means of imported drugs. All kind of things are tried only to be forgotten after a few days having failed to improve their general well being at all.

Then is the time to take full course of natural remedies that herbs, plants, flowers and vegetables provide. This is the time when these remedies proved their worth.

Because of the colonization of most African Countries by Europeans, Africans imbibed Western culture. Which made Africans to loose their natural heritage which include traditional medicine, dance, languages was adversely affected, however the introduction of science in health care delivery system where clinical and modernized system of medication was applied surpass that of alternative medicine.

In as much as we acknowledge and appreciate western culture which introduced education which serves as a medium by which knowledge by herbalist can written down and transferred to posterity. We cannot forget to recognize and appreciate the knowledge of traditional medicine which serves as a bedrock for modern medicine.

Among many renowned traditional medicine practitioners in Nigeria is Dr. Mrs. Peace Uzonze (Wonderful Roots) – a herbalist and traditional medicine practitioner with long years of experience and her son a Botanist and a potential plant taxonomist.

It is important to note that to be a skilled herbalist the knowledge of the names of plants which include their common names, indigenous names, English names and their botanical names are important. To add to it, it is important for a skilled botanist to be able to identify and classify plants also.

At this juncture we wish to inform the public, researchers, students, traditional medicine practitioners, that we undertake the services of identification, classification and holds lectures and seminars to enlighten the people on the best use of traditional medicine. We also treat various health disorders.

Our knowledge on traditional medicine is based on experience and long years of practice because it is handed down from generation to generation long even before the colonization of Africans by our Colonial masters.
